ThEEN Managing Director Jana Liebe will be taking part in the Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) in Illinois, USA, from April 27, 2025. The ACE program promotes international exchange and collaboration on innovative topics.

The Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) will take place in Illinois from April 27 to May 2, 2025. After successfully completing the application process, ThEEN Managing Director Jana Liebe is part of it and will represent ThEEN and Thuringia in the USA.

During the week-long program, high-level decision makers will engage with Illinois' innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. ACE Illinois' program provides opportunities for partnerships and networking connections with innovation centers, universities and leading companies in the following key clusters: Life Science, Quantum Computing, Clean Energy, Advanced Manufacturing, Agri-Tech, and Transportation and Logistics. Participants will meet with public sector, private sector, and higher education leaders in Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Elgin, and Lemont, and visit Argonne, one of Illinois' two national laboratories.

ACE Illinois is hosted by the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United States Government through the Department of Commerce (Economic Development Administration and International Trade Administration) and the Department of State (Permanent Mission to the OAS). The local organizer and host is the State of Illinois, represented by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and the University of Illinois System.

ACE has been held worldwide since 2014. ThEEN was already present in Colorado in 2021. ACE is a powerful catalyst for strengthening collaboration between countries and building ideas and models that promote innovation and entrepreneurship in economic development.
